Ken Butta , Principal

Mr. Butta began his teaching career in Florida and moved to Chesterfield in1979. He has taught science and mathematics in elementary, middle and high school. In addition to teaching, Mr. Butta coached football, baseball, and track and field and has served as a department chair, specialty center coordinator, assistant principal, and most recently as CCPS science instructional specialist. Mr. Butta is very happy to serve as principal here at Salem for his fourth year.

He and his wife live in Chesterfield and are the parents of four children. Mr. Butta volunteers as referee coordinator for the James River United Soccer Club at the northern end of the county and enjoys photography and traveling with his family.
